So my Father-in-law loves the reality show Bar Rescue. We heard some chatter in the hood that they were taking over a local bar for one of their watering hole makeovers. With a chance to be get some reality TV air time, it was obvious we were going to check out the grand opening of St. John's newest pub. What was once the vintage Six Point Inn is now the ultra new Over Easy Bar and Breakfast. At first glance from the outside, I'll have to say the new logo and signage suck. Feels like I'm heading to eat breakfast at a strip mall. The old logo wasn't any good either but at least the street side sign was big and had character. The inside of the new bar is nice and clean, maybe a little too clean for me. Seems like all the history of the older establishment and North Portland has been erased. Outside of a few fancy cocktail names, nothing in this place says anything about the neighborhood or city. This bar could be anywhere in the country. Maybe they'll put up some Trailblazer sh-t when the TV crew leaves.

My name is Cameron Smith, this is my photography studio and farm! We specialize in events, portraits, cocktails and dive bars.. Based in the ATL with frequent trips to Las Vegas and Portland Oregon, we like to city hop. Design, writing, are more things we do on the farm. From blogs to photo books, and below average art that consists mostly of ink drawings, we're creative folks. We're also crazy enough to be house photographers with Hogs & Heifers Saloon in Vegas AND Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans....We see some crazy shit! When not taking pictures of said crazy things, or planning a wedding celebration on a future ranch, you can find us in our garden with the dogs and cats.
Living the green life in East Atlanta for now, Smith Farm in Northern Georgia the future??
