Ahhh, the romance of the ring. But how did it become a symbol of marriage, and why is the fourth finger of your left hand the lucky recipient?
It is believed the Pharaohs of Egypt first used the circle as a symbol of eternity. The wedding ring is a never-ending circle, thus a perfect symbol for a new couple's everlasting love. But wearing a ring as a public pledge to honor your marriage didn't become customary until Roman times. Wearing the magical ring on the fourth finger of the left hand can also be traced back to Romans. They believed the vein in that finger runs directly to the heart... What a perfect spot for your rock! Ring pictures are a must at every wedding. Some of these ring shots can beautiful, some unique, and some very funny.
