Today was an awesome beginning to March in Portland with temperatures reaching over 60 degrees for the first time in awhile.  What a perfect day to do a trash the dress session with my wife featuring her old wedding dress of seven years and one her favorite chickens.

The trash the dress craze started almost 10 years ago in Vegas with veteran wedding photographer John Michael Cooper at altf  leading the way.  Typically this type of session happens in the weeks following a wedding when you don't have to worry so much about messing up your fancy threads.  Photo shoots like this may seem strange to some folks, but it can be a fun way for a couple to wrap up their wedding experience and create unique photographs to cherish for years to come.  Since moving to Portland and living with chickens in the backyard, I've long had the desire to do this type of session with my wife and her birds...  Welcome to American Gothic with a fowl wedding twist!
