One of my college buddies works in the editorial wing of Getty Images.  He travels year round covering major events all over the globe.  Currently he's battling human sized mosquitoes in Brazil while workin' the World Cup.  As his photo team hops from city to city they often need help from the local creatives with editing work.  Back in my Vegas days he called me in a few times to assist on some larger entertainment events on the strip.  Since working with him, I've always had the desire to cover a big time event for Getty and see if my photo skills were up to par for the A leagues.  Enter a practice round at the NCAA Track and Field Championships in Eugene!

I didn't exactly get to cover this event for anyone yet, but I did get to take some cool pics at this year's championships and hang with my cousin from Carolina.  He's one of the track coaches at UNC Charlotte and took his 4x100m relay team to the big dance at Hayward Field.  It was the first time a men's relay team from his university qualified to run in NCAA outdoor championships...  Congrats to my cousin AJ and his crew... bring on Getty and the Olympics for me!
