I've been excited to cover Kara and Andy's wedding ever since we met.  The plan was simple.  Get ready, get whiskey, get married, and get food.  Don't y'all wish your wedding day was that easy?

The afternoon started at the Westin Hotel in Downtown Portland.  Girls in one room, boys next door in another.  After taking a moment to freshen up and make sure everyone looked their best, it was time for both groups to meet up at the Multnomah Whiskey Library.  This place is as good as it sounds.  A library of the world's finest spirits with extra attention paid to the whiskey section of the menu.  With the first look out of the way the whiskey was calling!  Since you only get married once let's do this right, how about some vintage 1951 Knappogue Castle?  

After some tasty sips of the good stuff, the really good stuff, pedicabs awaited to take us over to the courthouse.  This was definitely a wedding first for me and fun way to get the bride and groom to their ceremony.  And once we arrived at the courthouse another wedding day first, metal detectors!  I was asked to not take any photos in this area but I had to sneak a few in :)

The ceremony was short and sweet as smiles from friends and family filled the intimate court room.  That was fun!  Now let's go eat, drink, and be merry!
