Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab UtahMy wife has worked at the Oregon Humane Society ever since we moved to Portland. She loves animals, all of them. Ever since reading and hearing about the Best Friends Animal Society in Utah, she's wanted to visit and volunteer. The society is largest non-kill animal sanctuary in the country and is only three hours from Las Vegas. Since I was able to pick up a few freelance events in Vegas over the weekend, we thought it was a perfect time to make the trip! I could type about this experience for pages. This was a life changer for my wife and I. From watching people take pot belly pigs for walks, to meeting a Vicktory Dog, we don't know any other place in the world we would rather be. Maybe the only better spot I can think of would be our own farm and sanctuary? Bert's Animal Society sounds like a fun place to hang to me.
