12 Years with Hogs & Heifers Saloon

It's hard to believe that Hogs & Heifers Las Vegas has been open for over 12 years, 12 fuckin' years! The saloon has had its' share of ups and downs, and the city of Vegas has also endured highs and lows during this time. Through all of this, the Hogs family presses on.

Life can be pretty fucked up sometimes. Although weird ass shit seems to be happening daily around the world, nothing could have prepared me or the pub for what went down in Vegas Sunday October 1st, 2017. It's a day that many locals and people from around the country would rather forget. Although I no longer live in LV, I still consider it a home away from home and love visiting over my freelance photo trips. This last assignment was different though and one I'll always remember for many reasons. Please let me share some words from Hogs as I bring you highlights from their anniversary party.

As a company and a family, we’ll come together to support one another, our community at large and our beloved city, in this time of need. There are no words from which to provide solace, only that our hearts go out to those who have lost loved ones, family, and friends. To those injured, our prayers and thoughts towards a speedy and full recovery are with you.

This week is our Rally in the Alley, an annual motorcycle event highly anticipated by thousands every year. Since Sunday night, we’ve grappled with whether or not to cancel this year’s event. The motorcycle community has always been a group to step up and unite as one, to show love and support to others in the face of tragedy or adversity. Our decision to move forward with Rally in the Alley, has come from the overwhelming magnitude of the strength and the solidarity of the Citizens of Las Vegas and a Nation and a World that, though united in grief, is empowered by its faith in humanity and commitment to stand together and overcome the tragedy that has befallen us.

To my friends and family at Hogs, thank you for allowing me to continue in documenting one of my favorite places in the world. It was nice to be with y'all last week. Cherish every moment :)

once again, your images have done the job they were meant to do! You captured the spirit, the love and the joy of Hogs and its family but more than that, you captured a town that was dealt a death blow and stood up and said FUCK YOU we drink at HOGS! I'll never forget this rally for many reasons but number one, watching the sadness disappear and if only for a few minutes, a few hours or a few days was worth pulling ourselves up by our bootstraps and bringing the "fuck you" to the evil in this world!
