It's hard to put into words how special bike week with Hogs & Heifers Saloon was for me as a photographer. Looking back and understanding that our event, Rally in the Alley, was the first outdoor gathering in Las Vegas after October 1st 2017 is pretty deep and something I'll never forget. The rally in Vegas is always sweet to photograph, but perhaps a touch bitter this time around considering what just happened. Who wants to be the annoying photo guy in everyone's face asking for smiles when people could still be mourning?
Once the Wednesday anniversary party with Hogs kicked off the festivities, I was timid in taking pictures at first. It took awhile to get back into the grove. Sometimes even photographers need to take a step back and soak things in without pressing buttons on his camera. Now that I've had a chance to comb through thousands of images that I captured from the event, I know how important it is for places like Hogs and Heifers to be there as a spot for friends and family to gather. A spot to come together for the good times and bad.
Thank you to my #HogsLife clan for helping put some smiles on our faces this week :)
noremaC is Cameron spelled backwards, isn't that a clever name for a studio?
My name is Cameron Smith, welcome to my studio. I specialize in portrait photography, event coverage, and some say I have a thing for dive bars and cocktails.. Based in Atlanta with frequent trips to Las Vegas and Portland Oregon, I love to travel. Design and writing skills are some of the extra services I can bust out with my camera. From blogs to photo books, and below average art that consists mostly of ink drawings, I'm considered by my Mom to be an artist - whatever my Mom says goes! I'm also lucky enough to be the in-house photographer with Hogs & Heifers Saloon in Las Vegas, I've taken pictures of some wild shit! When not taking pictures of said crazy things, or planning a wedding celebration on my future ranch, you can find me in my garden with my wife and pets.
Living the green life in East Atlanta for now with big farm dreams on the horizon!
