Fiesta de Bienvenida Con Asado y Destilados

The opening date of Tales of the Cocktail on Tour-Buenos Aires featured a unique experience at the Estancia la Alameda.  After a two hour trip south of the city, we arrived at the asado which featured the best of local Argentine cuisine and a special selection of one-of-a-kind drinks.  This is where I learned that I like Fernet Branca "The Argentinian Way".  Fernet and Coke is a bit of an acquired taste, but once it hit my sweet spot on that second cocktail, it was my drink of choice for the entire trip.

The food was world class and the variety of drinks even better.  The Budweiser taste like Berryweiser and the sausage links are served extra bloody.  At the end of it all, the traditional gaucho entertainment stole the show with a style of dancing unlike anything you've seen on Dancing wih the Stars.  To cap it off, if you wanted to be pulled around by a horse while sittin' on a cow hide, the cowboys were happy to take you for a spin around the ranch...  Salud!
