Usually when friends from college visit, the old party animals come out and it's time to get your drink on.  This last Sunday was a little different.  A friend of ours traveled to Portland all the way from New York to run her first half marathon.  Who would of thought after mastering our keg standing skills at the University at Albany that we would have grown into respectful adults that could complete marathons, not me!  Of course the beer garden was still the first place we headed following the race... Ummm beer.  Have you ever had a nice cold one after running over 13 miles?  Sounds like it may not be that great but it's easily one life's finer moments.  Newport Marathon for my wife in two weeks.  The Rogue Brewery is near the finish line.  We'll definitely be putting back a few pints after this one!
