noremaC Studios was founded by Mr. and Mrs. Smith.  Along with being passionate about taking pictures and preserving memories, these two have always had a love for animals.  This took a serious turn when the couple moved to Portland Oregon in 2015.  The city of Portland is where Melissa Smith took the big leap and changed career paths to work with animals full time.  After volunteering for a few years at shelters in Las Vegas, Melissa accepted her first position in animal care at the world famous Oregon Humane Society.  Considered by many to be the standard for animal shelters, this was a perfect place for Mrs. Smith to be introduced to working with pets in need.

It was here that Melissa discovered that this type of work is what she was born to do.  After five years of life in the Pacific Northwest, and learning as much as she could in the field of animal care, the Smith's decided is was time to move Back East and be closer to family.  While looking for a place to settle down, Melissa contnued to work at local shelters including the Atlanta Humane Society and McKamey Animal Center in Chattanooga.

Cameron and Melissa are currently living in Northwest Georgia, where Cameron continues to work in the creative world, and Melissa took on her biggest role in animal care to date.  She is now proudly the Director of Animal care at the SPCA of Bradley County Tennessee.  In this new position, Melissa has decided to tap into Cameron's creative skills using him for help in photography, website management, and media posts.  These two have truly become a match made in animal care heaven!

If you live in the Greater Area of Chattanooga and want to adopt or assist animals in need, consider helping with the SPCA of Bradley County.  The pictures below were taken in January of 2022 and represent a small portion of some of the dogs at SPCABC looking for forever homes.  If you're not a Chattanooga or Cleveland TN resident, animal shelters are always looking for a little extra help - and there are many ways one can do just that...

You can adopt, foster, volunteer, or donate!  Be a part of something bigger!!  And if you don't feel like doing any of those things, the least you can do, spay and neuter your f*ckin' pets!!  Didn't y'all watch the Price is Right growing up?
