2005 - Hogs & Heifers Saloon Soft OpeningWhat the fuck were you doing in 2005? Seems like ages ago. Hogs & Heifers was gearing up for the opening of their first saloon out West. The original two were in New York. Now it was time to see if Las Vegas could handle this shit show. I'm guessing most locals in Vegas had no idea what the hell Hogs was when they first heard about the place. I was invited to photograph the soft opening by the owner herself and didn't even know what I was getting into. With a name like theirs, I assumed it would be a joint to eat and drink. Something cozy and corporate serving huge portions of grub to feed all the fat hungry faces that come to Sin City. But little did I know how awesome this saloon was going to be. Imagine one of your favorite neighborhood bars at home, but this place is louder, way louder. Add bartenders who want to party harder than you do, way harder. Throw in an eclectic crowd that starts drinkin' at noon, an amazing playlist from a one-of-kind jukebox (that you can't touch), and the fact this watering hole is only a block away from the craziness of downtown Las Vegas, and Bammm!!! You have one of the best dive bars in the world. #hogslife
